Sprinkler Extinguishing System

Whether office, museum, or retail outlet: sprinkler systems extinguish fires in a targeted manner with water triggered by a thermal element.

Sprinkler Extinguishing System

Sprinkler systems are among the classic and most widely used stationary extinguishing systems. They operate fully automatically according to a proven functional principle: a network of pressurized pipes and sprinklers reliably runs through all areas of the building to be protected. In the event of a fire, the sprinkler system extinguishes it in a targeted manner with water.

Each sprinkler is sealed with a colored, liquid-filled glass bulb that – depending on the individual specification – triggers at a temperature between 57°C and 340°C. The trigger temperature of the sprinkler system is generally set around 30°C above the maximum expected room temperature. Only the sprinklers where a critical temperature rise is actually detected will react. The affected glass bulbs shatter and release the pressurized extinguishing water. This flows through the sprinkler, hits the deflector plate, and is finely distributed from there to effectively wet the affected area. At the same time, the flow of water automatically activates alarm devices. You can find more information on how it works here.

Areas of application for a sprinkler system

Sprinkler systems are widely used in public buildings, retail outlets, office buildings, high-rise buildings, underground car parks, logistics areas, high-bay warehouses, industrial facilities, museums, congress and conference centers, and other properties with increased fire protection requirements.

Sprinkler system variants

  • Wet systems: These are under permanent water pressure, enabling immediate extinguishing action. They should only be used where there is no risk of frost.
  • Dry systems: The pipe network is permanently under compressed air or nitrogen, as specified by the manufacturer. They are ideal for areas at risk of frost.
  • Pre-action dry systems: This variant only triggers when the fire alarm system is also activated. This prevents extinguishing water from being released immediately if a sprinkler is accidentally damaged. Pre-action systems are optimal for particularly sensitive areas.

All variants can be equipped with different sprinkler types such as umbrella sprinklers, sidewall sprinklers, or ESFR sprinklers (Early Suppression Fast Response).

Planning sprinkler systems

Professional planning of sprinkler systems is crucial for their effectiveness and reliability. We carry out the complete analysis of the structural conditions, determine the optimal system type, and ensure that all legal regulations and technical standards are met. This results in a tailor-made solution that is precisely tailored to your building and your safety requirements.

Full-service for sprinkler systems from a specialist company

We analyze local conditions, take on the complete planning of sprinkler systems, install them professionally, and hand the system over to you as a turnkey solution. Naturally, the reliable operational readiness of your sprinkler system is our top priority. That's why we reliably take care of regular maintenance and functional testing – for maximum safety, at all times.

Service for diesel and pump systems in sprinkler systems

We also provide comprehensive support for your pump and diesel generator systems. Whether initial commissioning, regular maintenance, professional repair, or the replacement of complete units – our qualified team ensures safe and smooth operation. We service diesel and electric pump units as well as emergency diesel generators and the associated control and switchgear systems. We also carry out special repair work, for example on sealing systems (packing glands), professionally and reliably.

A special bonus is our modern underwater drone: storage and intermediate tanks can be visually inspected quickly and without shutting down the system. You receive detailed images for a precise condition analysis – efficient and without operational interruption.
