Spray water extinguishing systems are primarily used where a fire can spread very quickly, such as in theaters, power plants, or waste disposal companies.

They enable area-wide extinguishing of fires with water, and also provide a cooling effect on the substances involved. The extinguishing nozzles of the spray water extinguishing system are arranged in groups and activate simultaneously within a group. This means the affected areas are flooded with water in a very short time. Classic sprinkler systems only extinguish selectively via individually triggered sprinklers. Given the speed at which a fire can spread, this can take too long. Fire alarm systems (FAS) or pneumatic or hydraulic detectors are used for fire detection and to trigger the spray water extinguishing system. In addition, manual activation is always possible.
