How a burglar alarm system works 

The burglar alarm system consists of a control panel that collects and connects information from all detectors in the building. These include, for example, light barriers, glass-break or motion detectors, as well as the switching device for arming and disarming the alarm system. In addition, visual devices (e.g. strobe lights) and acoustic devices (e.g. sirens or signal transmitters) can be used. Optionally, the control panel can automatically notify other emergency response services (such as security services) in the event of an alarm.

Wireless alarm systems make it possible to secure areas where laying cables is not possible or too costly. This means little or no cable routing is required for the wireless alarm system. Wireless alarm systems meet VdS classes A and B.

5. Training on operation of the burglar alarm system as well as handover of all documentation. 

Burglar alarm systems in accordance with VdS requirements 

Burglar alarm systems can meet VdS classes A, B, and C. This means all switching devices and alarm transmitters are technologically coordinated with each other and tested and approved by the Association of Property Insurers (VdS). 

Maintenance of a burglar alarm system 

Depending on the VdS class, a burglar alarm system must undergo quarterly inspection and annual maintenance.
