Burglar Alarm System

Deter burglars early on or catch them in the act using a range of alarm functions.

Burglar Alarm System

Burglar Alarm System - Consultation, Installation & Maintenance

In an emergency, burglar alarm systems trigger a visual and acoustic alarm to, for example, alert a security service. In addition, burglar alarm systems deter would-be intruders from carrying out an offense.

How a burglar alarm system works

The burglar alarm system consists of a control panel that collects and connects information from all detectors in the building. These include, for example, light barriers, glass-break or motion detectors, as well as the switching device for arming and disarming the alarm system. In addition, visual devices (e.g. strobe lights) and acoustic devices (e.g. sirens or signal transmitters) can be used. Optionally, the control panel can automatically notify other emergency response services (such as security services) in the event of an alarm.

Variant: Wireless alarm systems

Wireless alarm systems make it possible to secure areas where laying cables is not possible or too costly. This means little or no cable routing is required for the wireless alarm system. Wireless alarm systems meet VdS classes A and B.

Applications of burglar alarm systems

Burglar alarm systems are used in residential, office, and commercial buildings as well as in public institutions and museums. Depending on the size of the building, we offer individual burglar alarm solutions - from a compact control panel with just a few detectors to a bus-controlled large-scale system with more than a thousand detection groups.

Steps to commissioning a burglar alarm system

  1. On-site inspection of conditions and discussion of protection objectives.
  2. Planning of the burglar alarm system with all components.
  3. Installation of the burglar alarm system and preparation for acceptance (including test operation).
  4. Acceptance of the burglar alarm system by a certified body.
  5. Training on operation of the burglar alarm system as well as handover of all documentation.

Burglar alarm systems in accordance with VdS requirements

Burglar alarm systems can meet VdS classes A, B, and C. This means all switching devices and alarm transmitters are technologically coordinated with each other and tested and approved by the Association of Property Insurers (VdS).

Maintenance of a burglar alarm system

Depending on the VdS class, a burglar alarm system must undergo quarterly inspection and annual maintenance.
