Escape Route Terminal / Door Control Unit from the Experts
Door Control Unit - Consultation, Installation & Inspection
Door control units are used to secure electrically locked doors along escape and rescue routes. Using an escape route terminal, electrically locked escape doors can be unlocked for authorized persons during operating hours without triggering an alarm. In an emergency, anyone can open the door by pressing the emergency release button.
Functions of a door control unit:
- Emergency release button for opening the door
- Airlock function (special solution)
- Weekly time switch
- Compatible with bus technology
An interface to other products such as swing door operators, fire alarm systems, or intruder alarm systems is also optionally available.
Escape Route Terminals from CWS
Our escape route terminals can be set so that escape doors function as locked, permanently unlocked, or briefly unlocked. Our door control units are also made of high-quality plastic, metal, or stainless-steel housings in stainless steel, white, or green finishes. They function at ambient temperatures from -10 °C to +50 °C.
Inspection of Escape Route Terminals
As part of effective fire protection, escape route terminals must be inspected by a qualified specialist every 12 months. The operator must present proof of inspection to the building control authority upon request. CWS installs door control units, attaches the necessary signage, and carries out the recurring inspection.
