Filling and Emptying Station

Filling and Emptying Station – Planning, Installation & Maintenance

A filling and emptying station is used wherever separation of drinking water and extinguishing water is required. Locations at risk of frost also represent a further area of application.

Activation of the filling and emptying station ensures that extinguishing water is available at the point of use within 60 seconds. After the extinguishing process, the filling and emptying station is drained, so that the extinguishing water pipes are not permanently filled. This ensures drinking water hygiene in the building, and extinguishing water cannot freeze in the pipes. As a result, use in frost-prone areas is unproblematic.

Planning a Filling and Emptying Station

Planning a filling and emptying station requires consideration of both the fire protection requirements and the Drinking Water Ordinance.

In addition to the classic application, our systems are also available as a wet-dry station for use downstream of an indirectly connected booster pump system. Intelligent controls for the filling and emptying station, or wet-dry station, ensure safe operation.

All-inclusive package: CWS Fire Safety is available for the planning, installation, commissioning, and annual maintenance of the filling and emptying station (or wet/dry station). We also support you in fulfilling your operator obligations. Comprehensive on-site training for your staff is, of course, also part of our standard scope of services.
