Fire Protection Housing
Fire Protection Housing - Consultation, Implementation & Documentation
Fire protection housings (also known as fire protection cover housings) provide effective fire protection for power and distribution systems. They prevent the spread of fire and smoke, keeping escape and rescue routes usable for at least 30 or 90 minutes.
Causes of fires in power and distribution systems
Causes of fires include short circuits, loose components, insulation faults, or voltage surges in electrical switchgear. A fire protection cover housing prevents the spread of fire for a defined period of time.
Types of fire protection housings:
- Wall-mounted housings
- Flush-mounted wall housings
- Free-standing housings
Fire protection cover housings are available in fire resistance classes F30 and F90.
Extensions for fire protection housings
Optionally, fire protection housings are available with ventilation openings, fans with cold smoke dampers, air conditioning, and safety systems for early smoke and fire detection inside the housing.
All-inclusive package: CWS advises you comprehensively and takes care of the planning and installation of the fire protection cover housings. Afterward, on request, you receive detailed documentation including photos and descriptions of the individual fire protection housings. This allows you and your insurer to verify professional implementation.
