FM-200 Extinguishing System
FM-200 Extinguishing System - Consultation, Installation & Maintenance
The chemical/synthetic extinguishing agent FM 200 is liquid and becomes gaseous as it exits the extinguishing nozzles. The gas absorbs thermal energy, thereby interrupting the combustion process. It is therefore particularly recommended for protecting high-value assets such as server rooms, data centers, measurement and control rooms, as well as irreplaceable paper documents and cultural assets (archives, museums).
In the event of a fire, all persons present are first warned by optical and acoustic alarms. The gas then distributes evenly throughout the entire room. FM-200 leaves no residue, is stored in gas cylinders, requires little space, and can be stored within the protected area. When the relevant safety instructions are observed, the gas is harmless to humans.
The components of an FM-200 extinguishing system are:
- Fire alarm system with extinguishing system control
- Gas cylinders containing FM-200 extinguishing agent
- Release device
- Piping
- Extinguishing nozzles
The FM-200 extinguishing system can be designed in accordance with the following standards: VdS 2381, DIN EN 15004, ISO 14520, CEA 4045, and NFPA 2001.
Compared to inert gas extinguishing systems, FM-200 requires significantly less extinguishing agent, which also allows for shorter flooding times.
CWS Fire Safety offers you an all-inclusive package: we analyze the on-site conditions for you, and design and install the FM-200 extinguishing system tailored to your needs. We are also happy to support you with regular maintenance and servicing.
