Fire Protection Enclosure

Fire Protection Enclosure - Consultation, Execution & Documentation

A fire protection enclosure (also known as fire protection cladding or fire protection casing) describes the encasing of building components that require additional protection from smoke, fire, and heat. In the event of a fire, the functional integrity of the component is ensured for at least 30 or 90 minutes. This prevents the fire from spreading to another fire compartment. In addition, escape and rescue routes remain usable for people and animals.

Fire Protection Enclosure for the Following Components

  • Wood or steel beams and columns
  • Ventilation ducts
  • Ceiling and floor systems
  • Utilities such as pipes, cables, and electrical installations

The fire protection enclosure is available in fire resistance classes F30 and F90.

All-inclusive package: CWS provides consultation, planning, and implementation of the fire protection enclosure. Upon completion, you receive all documentation on request, including photos, installer certification, installation certification, manufacturer documents, and the declaration of performance for each fire protection enclosure. This allows you, the building authority, and your insurer to verify that the fire protection enclosures were installed properly.
