The escape door hood is used to secure emergency exit doors. Escape door hoods are fitted above the emergency exit handle of a door to create a psychological barrier against improper use. This ensures that no one accidentally operates the door handle, since the hood must be deliberately broken off. It is therefore a simple form of escape door security. In an emergency, the hood can be easily and safely broken off without injury so the door handle can be used.
The escape door hood is used to secure:

- Escape windows
The escape door hood is available with or without a lock. In the version with a lock, the hood can be removed via the lock without breaking it, allowing the door to be opened. This option is suitable for door systems that need to be opened repeatedly by authorized persons, for example for supplier deliveries.
