Door Guard
Door Guard - Consultation, Installation & Inspection
CWS door guards secure escape doors against unauthorized use. They are positioned beneath the door handle to secure emergency exit doors. This means the door handle cannot be pressed down without triggering the door guard, preventing the door from being opened unintentionally. In addition, an acoustic signal alerts when the door guard is triggered or the escape door is opened.
Door guards are used as part of fire protection on escape doors that open inward or outward. Their functions include securing the escape door, an acoustic signal triggered by an integrated battery (approx. 80-95 dB), and resetting to the starting position using the device key. CWS door guards are made of green die-cast aluminum and can be used on both left- and right-hand doors, with directional arrows indicating correct opening.
Types of fire escape door guards:
1. The one-hand door guard can be pressed straight down with one hand to open the door.
2. The swivel door guard is swiveled to the side to press down the door handle.
Inspection of swivel and one-hand door guards
Fire escape door guards must be inspected annually by a qualified expert to ensure fire safety. The operator must present an inspection certificate for the one-hand or swivel door guard to the building authority upon request.
CWS All-Round Care Package
CWS installs fire escape door guards and attaches the necessary warning signs. In addition, our experts are happy to carry out the recurring inspection of swivel or one-hand door guards.
